Day 2: Vatican City

Morning: Dedicate the morning to Vatican City, an independent city-state located within Rome. Visit St. Peter’s Square, a beautiful square designed by Bernini, and St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the world. Be sure to dress modestly when visiting St. Peter’s Basilica, as it is a place of worship. Don’t miss Michelangelo’s Pieta, a stunning sculpture housed inside the basilica.
Afternoon: In the afternoon, visit the Vatican Museums, a collection of art and artifacts from around the world. The museums are home to some of the most famous works of art in the world, including Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel and Raphael’s Rooms. Again, be sure to book your tickets in advance, especially during peak season.

Day 3: The City Center

Morning: Start your day with a visit to the Trevi Fountain, a beautiful fountain that is said to grant wishes if you toss a coin into it. Be sure to throw the coin over your right shoulder!
Afternoon: In the afternoon, explore the Pantheon, an ancient Roman temple that is now a church. The Pantheon is famous for its dome, which is an architectural marvel.
Evening: Enjoy a cooking class and learn how to make traditional Roman dishes such as pizza and pasta. This is a great way to learn about Italian culture and cuisine.

Day 4: A Trip Beyond Rome

Take a day trip to Pompeii, an ancient Roman city that was buried under ash and volcanic rock from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Explore the ruins of the city and learn about the lives of the people who lived there.
Another option is to visit Tivoli, a town located about 30 km east of Rome. Tivoli is home to Villa d’Este, a beautiful Renaissance villa with stunning gardens and fountains.

Day 5: Shopping and Relaxation

Morning: Spend the morning shopping for souvenirs in the historic center of Rome. There are many shops selling everything from clothes and jewelry to food and wine.
Afternoon: In the afternoon, relax in one of Rome’s many parks or gardens. Villa Borghese is a popular choice, with its beautiful gardens, museums, and galleries.
